Zachary Henry (left) and Maximillian Fauble (center) stand with another person, who did not want to be identified, and watch along with a march in Brooklyn Center near the police department on Friday, April 16th. For the sixth consecutive night, protesters gathered in mass after former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter shot and killed Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man, on April 11th who was unarmed. After Brooklyn Center Mayor Mike Elliott retroactively declared a curfew for 11:00 p.m. officers violently descended on protesters and 136 people were arrested. Although U.S. District Judge Wilhelmina Wright granted a temporary restraining order early on Friday, stating law enforcement officers cannot arrest or use physical force against journalists covering recent events in the Twin Cities, several journalists were assaulted and detained. For the next two weeks, this court order will remain in effect. (Brooklynn T. Kascel/Redux)
